In July I have proposed that LeBron James characters with the Miami Heat tax reasons.
Today, Texas writes Cowgirl Kay Bell (I think Debra winger in urban cowboy) on an another Mega-Millionaire professional athletes, who can choose its next team based on tax considerations:
Texas baseball fans, or at least those who follow the American League champion Texas Rangers, you are anxious waiting for the decision of pitcher Cliff Lee, which team the uniform he next year... will bear.
By staying in Texas, [Cliff] Lee would 81 home games in Arlington and three more in Houston while inter-league game you play against the Astros.
Owes for these 84 games he would not state taxes since Texas State has no income tax.
Sure, he would have to pass something money to other States with income taxes if you Rangers road trips. But tax amount for the number of days worked in the State would be prorated.
But if Lee signed with the Yankees and lived in New York for at least 183 days a year, he would a 9 percent numbers State income tax. He would pay more taxes when he lived in the Big Apple.
Or notes of the New York Times, Lee could life outside the Empire State. He would pay the same tax rate if in New Jersey, but something lived, if he and his family are in neighboring Connecticut with 6.5 percent income tax rate.
Important are the taxes to Lee? Safely.
Become important enough to influence his team choice? Perhaps.
I'm sure the Yankees fit to account for the expropriations Lee's offer by city and State control in New York will have to pay but because procurement rules attribute income he turns endorsements and commercials, the State of Texas (provided he makes its home Texas), he should stay right where he is to protect the income from these ridiculous New York taxes.
